Tables are useful for the layout of data. They can also be used to control where text and graphics appear in a page.

Once you create a table, you can modify it in the following ways:

	Add or delete rows or columns.
	Format columns either in pixels or as a proportion of the entire table.
	Format text in a table, using the same formatting options you use to format text. See Formatting overview.
	Format cells by adjusting their alignment and layout.
	Change the column width.
	Combine adjacent rows or columns.
	Add tables within a table when you need a more complex format.
	Add and position graphics in a table.
